This video is an introduction for the next series that I am going to focus on. It is called the One Room Challenge. It is a challenge that is steeped in tradition for writers, performers, and artists alike. You have to convey a story using only the small space of a single room. We are going to explore how to do this using the ideas we learned building out the Leticia scene. We are going to have fun with this one.

DarkShepard here. This is more of a, I guess, an announcement type of video
because since we finished the last building of the Letitia scene, I was
trying to think of where to go next. Originally I had planned to, you know,
make another animation and go do a walkthrough on that. And I may do
something like that, but what I kind of want to do now is something called the
One Room Challenge. This is a concept that is done usually in film schools.
It's done in any type of storytelling medium, whether it be acting, directing,
cinematography, scriptwriting, anything. We can also use it and apply it to our
stories that we create for our Ren'Py novels. So how the One Room Challenge
works is kind of like it says. It's one room. You have constraints. You can't
leave the room. Whoever is in the room, you can have one character, you can have
20 characters, but they all have to stay within the room. You have to come up with
a story. What is happening in this room? Who are these people? Why are they there?
And in this, you learn how to actually tell the story. But the concepts that
we're going to utilize is everything that we learned from the Letitia stuff.
