Maybe I'm just not used to it, maybe I just can't quite believe it. Or maybe I'm just not used to receiving compliments. I don't know, it's just all so weird.
Okay, I know you wouldn't expect compliments from Henry, but what about Olivia and Cynthia?
That's not really my point. It's just so weird. You compliment literally everything I do, even the smallest things.
Well, but that's the way it's supposed to be, isn't it? You do something cool and I say it's cool. That's the way it's supposed to work.
Yeah, but here's an example of the most trivial situation. I cooked something, everybody comes in, sits down at the table, starts eating, then take it up and leave because it's something natural in our lives.
It's always been like that and I never thought anything could be different. I just feel like it was my duty that everyone in my house should be fed.
And you come in and the first thing you say is that the food smells good. Then you're gonna tell me it tastes great, you help me in the kitchen, you even praise the way I chop the vegetables, pointing out my worth, praising my clothes, complimenting me every time I wear them.
